  Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night only because Fanatico across the street was on a 30 min wait. Came in and was pleasantly surprised by the interior decor as I wasn't expecting much from a place called Gus' pizza palace. We sat down and ordered pepperoni bread sticks for an app and the 2, two topping medium pizzas for $12.95 special each adding one extra topping at a cost of $2.00 each extra topping. We waited a good 20-25 min for the appetizer to come out and it was simply disgusting. All it was is double pizza dough topped with pepperoni and cheese. The crust was so dense it was difficult to chew and they just tasted gross!. The appetizer wasn't on the table for 5 minutes and sure enough, here comes the pizza. When I told the waitress my excitement for the dinner coming right on top of the appetizer, she shrugged her shoulders and said; sorry we're busy. The pizza was ok, not the best but definitely not the worst I've ever had; doctored up with salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese it was not bad. Would be nice if they would add some spice or zing to the recipe but touche. Will I come back? Not likely but at least the dining room was nice...

  The Guy that shot at People during the Whitewater 4th of July with a BB gun still is employed at Gus' Pizza, -- apparently Gus' Owner stood up for him in court, claiming the shooting is a good , nice guy ?! So basically an idiot shot strangers w/ a BB gun during a Holiday in downtown, & he gets to keep his job, & he's praised by the owner.......? makes NO sense . Good Food.

  Great, local, real pizza. Chicken is good too, but I usually only order pizza. Staff and owners are all very friendly and the service is excellent, whether for dine in, carry out or delivery.
